Attached below you will find the prayers and sermon which were used in the Lunenburg Parish for Sunday, March 3, 2024.
We are approaching Good Friday and Easter, the most important days of the year for the Christian church in general, and for Christians in particular.
The issue is that, too often, we have settled for platitudes to describe the importance of the cross, or tried to impose some kind of “meaning” on it.
Today we listen to St. Paul discuss these issues, as he challenges us to let go of our assumptions and explanations, and let ourselves be confronted with the brutal, life-changing, transforming reality of the cross.
